Eagle-eyed kumuzens will immediately recognize the design as one of the earliest kumu merchandise ever sold-out in kumu. Back in 2020, as a fun livestream event, the shirts were promoted by kumu Chief-of-Content, Angelo Mendez, and Chief-of-Kumunity, James Rumohr. The simple yet memorable design is kumu’s creative rendition of the iconic TeamManila shirts, which feature Jose Rizal in aviator sunglasses. Modern, fun and totally unique, the new “Colorway” Teamkumu highlights the creative spirit between kumu and its partners.

“TeamManila’s quality is just great!” says Louisa Poblete-Pantangco, Retail Operations Manager for Shopkumu. She recounts how the original design dates way back to the kumu founders’ earlier projects, establishing the design’s sentimental value to the team. “Since it was such a sold-out hit, we thought we’d keep it as a classic merch’ for kumu.”

The kumu Drop Shop “Colorway” Teamkumu shirts are limited edition, so tune in to this week’s kumu Drop Shop to grab your Teamkumu merch!
