Got a Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) audition you want to ace? Or maybe a kumu Campaign you want to win? Or maybe, you just want to be the best, coolest kumu livestreamer that you can be. Either way, the new kumu 101 show is your program to level-up your livestreaming game and Kumunity street-cred. Launching this week on @kumusocialtv, the kumu 101 show will be a regular program aired every Wednesday, 7PM PHT; the first episode will officially start on September 15, 2021.
The kumu 101 show is an in-depth program under the leadership of kumu Social TV, our power-house of innovative social entertainment. What’s more, it has been revealed that the show will be hosted by a power duo: Host, dancer and celebrity performer Lesley Martinez (@lesleyvmartinez), alongside actress, and former PBB Housemate Ali Forbes (@aliforbes). It’s a virtual crash-course for aspiring entertainers!
With 13 episodes lined-up for the first season, kumu 101 covers all the basics, and even the intermediate strategies for kumu livestreaming, as well as content-creation in general. Like an educational course in Kumunity livestreaming, kumu 101 is where we pull together the tried-and-true best practices of our kumu power-streamers. From kumu klips auditions, to starting your first livestream, to the art of hosting, and even creating your own gameshow– kumu 101 is here to tell all.
The fun, educational show comes hot in the heels of PBB: Kumunity, Season 10, and the #PBBkumuAdults auditions. This, along with a general rise of newbies entering the Kumunity, has created an exciting buzz for content-creation, and overall creativity within the app. kumu generally seeks to give newbies all the support and resources they need to breeze through the app; these efforts include the popular Newbies Corner (@newbiescorner), a beginner-friendly channel for anyone interested in learning the basics of kumu.
The addition of the kumu 101 show for our newbies is a sign of the times. The Kumunity is evolving, and we’re seeing a new age of livestreamers and content-creators coming into the app. It will be interesting to see what new, Filipino-lead content will be popping up in the months ahead, as kumu seeks to nurture its growing talent pool.
The kumu 101 show launches September 15, 2021, 7PM PHT on @kumusocialtv. Its regular programming is every Wednesday, 7PM PHT on the same channel. It has also been confirmed that a sister program, called the “Kumunity Fair”, will be launching in the next month. Under the Kumunity Fair, newbies can get the chance to meet, greet and even apply to featured Kumunity teams and shows. More details on this exciting development will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
