Caramia’s ube cake is made specifically from ube farmed by Aeta farmers in Zambales, while the sunflowers are from Batangas farmers. Because this is not just about promoting romance, but also to promote our local agriculture.
According to JT Solis, Co-Founder and CEO of Mayani, the message of love in this package expands beyond the simple gift-giving gesture of Valentine’s Day. He explains, “The campaign seeks to harness the power of shared digital communities in providing that helpful boost to our local farmers, whose livelihoods got adversely hit by the pandemic.”
