kumu, the largest social entertainment app in the Philippines, has been a champion of self-expression and individuality for nearly 6 years. kumu connects Filipino livestreamers with audiences from all over the world, bringing people together for shared interests and entertainment. For the month of June, kumu partners with LoveYourself as part of its continuous efforts to uphold its value for authentic individual expression. LoveYourself is a non-profit organization, composed of volunteers dedicated to empowering and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. 

Pia Wurtzbach takes over Kumu

Together with Dr. Vinn, founder of LoveYourself, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will take over the platform on June 27 at 7:30 PM, on Kumu’s Kumunity Channel (@kumunitychannel). The livestream program aims to bring awareness to the advocacies and existing projects of the foundation. The livestream will also serve as a fundraising event for LoveYourself’s projects and an avenue for Kumu users to participate in the foundation’s initiatives. 

How to participate

There are two ways for Kumu users to participate in the event. First, users may join the in-app campaigns prior to the program. Second, users may also drop virtual gifts during the livestream on June 27. In the livestream, the top three gifters during the event will get a personalized shout-out from Wurtzbach at the end of the show. 

Supporting LoveYourself’s Initiatives

The funds raised through the in-app campaigns and virtual gifts from the livestream will directly support LoveYourself’s various initiatives. These initiatives include HIV testing and counseling, transgender health services, and mental health support, all of which are crucial for the well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.
