Beauty and advocacy never sleeps in the Philippines. The kumu Global pageant (@kglobalpageant) is back and ready to make history as they crown their first ever Mr. kumu Global pageant. The pageant is now ongoing, with international candidates vying for the coveted title and crown. So best mark your calendars for July 31st for the grand coronation night at the Kumunity Stage (@kumunitystage).

Last July 10th, the talent competition has already taken place, with eager viewers cheering the amazing gentlemen. Throughout the duration of the special events, the candidates will be raising funds for the pageant’s official beneficiary, Best Buddies Philippines, a nonprofit organization. Best Buddies Philippines aims to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Mafae Yunon-Belasco (@mafaeb), who leads the kumu Global Pageant channel, has organized both the Miss kumu Global and this season’s Mr. kumu Global pageants. As the Bb. Pilipinas World 2003 Top 5 Finalist, Mafae has always said that the pageant world is close to her heart; she has since mentored many young men and women to lead their best life as a motivational speaker and personality development coach. Mr. kumu Global is the first male pageant she has ever directed, in collaboration with kumu regional heads and the Kumunity Stage.
The Mr. kumu Global pageant is a unique, livestream stage “to share inspiring men who are courageous enough to be an inspiration”, Mafae explains. “Having 5 sons also inspired me to empower young men by giving them a platform to share their passions and advocacies.”
This year’s candidates are from across the globe, spanning multiple countries, all connected by the Kumu community. Despite their distance and cultural differences, they share the same mission: to inspire and give back through the Mr. Kumu Global’s official campaign #SaveLivesOnline.
