Kumusikat: The grandest offline celebration of Kumu (yet!)

July 15, 2019 | 2 mins read

ICYMI: Kumuzens from all over the Metro gathered last June 30 for a grand celebration of talent at Starmall Alabang.

The Kumusikat was a talent search, meet-and-greet, live performance, and a big bonding moment for Kumuzens all rolled into one celebration. Favorite streamers and Kumu hosts all got to showcase their talents onstage, while aspiring livestreamers seized their chance to become featured streamers on the app.

Sponsored by Pizza Hut, the Kumunity celebration featured in-house talents such as Jay Dimaano, Boris Earl Erandio, Patrick Medalla, Summer Sevilla, Nef Medina, KA Antonio, Meek Peer, Ffyona Baas and Earl Cabatingan. These homegrown talents are the pride of Kumu: they had been staples of the content platform since the beginning, and are now regularly being sent out to events to do real gigs.

Kumu is on a mission to develop their talents both online and offline, as part of their continued support to the content creators who tirelessly bring fresh content to the app. In under a year, they have managed to become both a talent discovery platform and a production powerhouse, injecting their streamers to the app’s game shows and offline events.

Needless to say, we’re all excited to see what they have up their sleeves for the next big event. But for now, you can download Kumu and enjoy the streamers’ live performances anywhere you go. Join the Kumunity now!
