ABS-CBN subsidiary channel Jeepney TV has now joined forces with content platform and livestreaming app Kumu. For the first time ever, Jeepney TV will be having their own digital gameshow via Kumu’s flagship trivia game Quiz Mo Ko.
Every Tuesday at 9 pm is a special quiz night for Kumu users, as Jeepney TV takes over Quiz Mo Ko with questions from timeless ABS-CBN TV shows and Filipino classics from the silver screen. Get a chance to win cash prizes when you answer all ten questions correctly!
Content partnerships such as Kumu and Jeepney TV’s is a welcome move in an industry that never rests from churning out creative work. In this day and age where not only new formats of shows get created (remember that Black Mirror episode, Bandersnatch?), but also new ways of consuming content, it could be confusing as to what content to enjoy, where, and when. But the collab between Kumu and Jeepney TV offers us something new, as it combines content from the yesteryears with the livestreaming technology of today–something that we rarely get to see.
It’s also remarkable how Kumu is seamlessly integrating its livestreaming platform with traditional media that we have come to enjoy growing up. Just recently, Kumu announced its partnership with music channel myxTV to broadcast its singing competition called #Discovered. Kumu users here and abroad will get to watch North American residents compete for a 1,000 USD cash prize and a chance to sing with Filipino stars in ASAP.
Moreover, we’ve also seen our favorite FM radio station Magic 89.9 take its spotlight in the Kumu app. They joined the livestreaming frenzy in the Philippines’ top content platform last June. Even DJ Mo Twister has his personal account in Kumu! Now Filipinos can enjoy music and meaningful conversations between DJs live on their screens.
So, if you’re a stickler for classic Pinoy movies and TV shows, but also likes interactive gameshows, then the Kumu-Jeepney TV collab is something you’d like to watch out for. Don’t wait up and miss on the new stuff! Download Kumu now!
