kumu, with its expansive reach and influence, brings more and more kumunities together. This month, the Pinoy livestreaming app opened another empowering avenue for Gen-Z by welcoming Candy Mag (@candymagdotcom), navigating college life on and off-campus. The Candy Clash Room, which goes live every Friday, 8 p.m., is officially in session.

Here, young college students can find a fun, judgment-free zone where they feel like they’re among best friends. Catch the latest trends in pop culture, college life, beauty, fashion, and other hot topics by joining the growing Candy Kumunity. Hosted by Candy rookies, Sofia Rodela and Cyril Sanchez, the show welcomes all teens and young adults, helping them navigate college life on and off-campus. Of course, you can join in on the fun by participating in quiz shows, with the chance of winning up to 500,000 kumu coins.

“The Candy Clash Room represents what we stand for, and how Candy has evolved in this new decade. We are an inclusive, upfliting brand that tells relevant stories and gives due credit to changemakers from past to present,” begins Ysabel Y. Yuzon, Candy Editor in Chief.

Since March 2021, Candy has grown to become a positive force in the digital sphere, and now embraces the exciting future with kumu. “While livestreaming is not an entirely new concept, there’s something about the kumunity that really hits differently, from the way people interact with one another, to the culture of acceptance and open-mindedness that is evident throughout the platform,” adds Yuzon.

kumu is the perfect platform and the ideal space for the digital-savvy, woke Gen-Z college student. Here, they can engage and not feel pressured to fit into a mold. This is the freedom and uplifting environment that Candy has always aimed to nurture.  Yuzon comments, “kumu seems like one of the best partners to help us push our goals, thanks to its strong community of people, who are open to sharing their skills, talents, and experiences.. It is also a platform that challenges us to evolve with our audience, and that’s also something that excites us as a team.”

“As Summit Media’s Gen-Z title, we know that kumu will allow us endless opportunities to connect with our young audience, to keep them informed, and really engage them in ways that will continue to benefit them outside the platform. We’re very excited to be on kumu, and to connect with its thriving kumunity,” ends Yuzon.
