Are you ready to be an official PBB Kumunity housemate? This is your chance to be part of the groundbreaking 10th Season of PBB, in collaboration with kumu, the Philippines’ #1 livestreaming app. The #PBBkumuAdults auditions via kumu klips have officially begun, and entries will be accepted between September 1 to September 30, 2021. This is the first of 3 PBB Kumunities for this season.
Open to all Philippine-based Kumunizens between 20- 40 years old, the #PBBkumuAdults audition is an exciting opportunity exclusively available within the kumu app, where the winners actually get to be official Housemates in this season’s Pinoy Big Brother. Audition rules are simple: Those who wish to join must create a kumu klip, a short-form video under 60 seconds, wherein they introduce themselves and answer the question, “What will be your contribution to the PBB Kumunity if you become a Housemate?”
After creating the kumu klip, applicants must now share the video on their kumu account timeline, with the official hashtag #PBBkumuAdults. This will make it an official entry to PBB Kumunity Season 10. The complete details of the #PBBkumuAdults audition can be found in the official campaign page within the app.
Anticipation and excitement for this audition is at an all-time high, as last year’s PBB Connect audition via kumu klips totalled almost 180,000 entries– the largest audition entry total in PBB’s history. “With the help of kumu, [PBB] broke barriers in auditions.”, says Marcus Vinuya, Head of Creatives at Pinoy Big Brother, noting that this remarkable feat was done in the middle of quarantines. Moreover, it appears that Kuya’s fans and followers are eager to interact with the Housemates on a more personal level.
Marcus Vinuya explains, “[kumu] leveled up the interactive part of the program, because the Kumunity really had an effect with how life was inside the House, from tasks to nominations and evictions.” This resulted in more lasting connections between Housemates and fans. “Even after the show, Housemates from PBB Connect and past seasons have been able to utilize the platform in expressing themselves. They are still able to connect with the fans they made during their stay in the house.”
Taking in all the learnings from last year’s PBB Connect, with a dose of more surprises this year, PBB Kumunity is shaping up to be PBB and kumu’s most ambitious programming collaboration yet; the #PBBkumuAdults audition is only the beginning of a rollercoaster season ahead.
